Awright stop, collaborate and listen...

No, I'm not back with a brand new invention.

What I do have is an earworm, courtesy of he-who-was-once-popular-in-the-80s.

Will it ever stop? Yo, I don't know.

I sure hope it does, though. But I really, really thought this song was so baaaad (read: terrific) back in the day.

Should I compound my shame by adding that I actually paid to see him in concert way back when? Oops, I guess I already did. OK, I admit it. I paid two weeks' worth of my allowance when I was a teenager to see Vanilla Ice in concert. Just because I totally loved Ice Ice Baby in those days. And I will admit that the song still makes my ass twitch even now.

Stop laughing, you smart alecks. I'll get you. Because I slice like a ninja and cut like a razor blade.

(As you can probably tell, I have more than a passing acquaintance with this song's lyrics. I'm going to go jump off a cliff now.)

Kick it one time, yadda yadda. Go ahead. Sing along if you want to, I won't tell.

Have you been having a whisky drink or a lager drink? - just asking

I'm a beer person, DaddyP. As you well know.

My unsophisticated palate can't stand the taste of whisky.

Still suffering (gladly) from Ice Ice Baby earworm.

Indeed, Nursie. Because I kick my composure when it's time to get loose. Magnetized by the mic when I kick my juice.

I really should go to bed. *sigh* You prolly had quite an experience in Spain. Will catch up!

But wait Liz, don't lash out yet, you do know I was SOLD on Boy George.

a)Music...

Beautiful.

b)Music that sticks...

Great.

c)Music costing 2 weeks allowance...

Memorable, forever.

d)Music standing the test of time...

Encompassing, and endearing.

e)Music that stands the test of time and has meaning....

Engrossing, and, and, ...

f)Music that makes the hair on the nape of your neck tingle and gives you the 'good' goosebumps---and you don't know why....

Enigmatic, but it will always have a place in your heart.

g)Music that just makes you feel-different. No matter what mood you are in at the moment, it changes you...

(another big E-word I can't think of right now)

About the above, sometimes music is our closest friend, a true confidant, a wise soul that only knows how "I" feel at that "me" time, or sometimes simply a diversion. It doesn't matter the song, genre, style, or era of said music, but if earworms and ass twitching brings out an inner calm, and an outer smile, music has done it's job.

giggles and cheers

There is no shame whatsoever in having been part of an era.
