Mimi, also known as the Queen of Memes, bestowed upon me a tag called The Best Nights of Your Life.
The rules:
You simply name five of the Best Nights of your Life and then tag four people. Easy as pie. But a bit difficult to choose from among quite a number of memories.
Nevertheless, here are five of mine in no particular order:
1. When I was a kid, staring at a tree that seemed to be straight something out of a fairy tale. Covered in fireflies, or lightning bugs, it was simply magical.
2. Giving birth to my son at 8PM fourteen years ago after hours of intense agony. Never mind that my back has never been the same again, never mind the labor pains. They were so totally worth it.
3. I had this great group of pals when I was a 19. We spent many hours of the day or night at the house of one of them. One night was particularly memorable. We drank a bit (well, a lot, actually) to celebrate someone's birthday. Then it started to rain and we all sang and danced and got wet...and had loads of fun. Truly a night of to remember.
4. Sometimes just sitting quietly over a beer or two, sharing thoughts, disagreeing agreeably, having conversation punctuated with laughter, and really listening make for a memorable night. Such was a night I shared not too long ago with two people whom I love to bits and pieces.
And of course, there's:
5. Bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleepity bleep bleep bleep bleep. *sigh*
Oh, I have to tag some other people. So here goes. Let's see. DaddyPapersurfer (the old git I ♥), Houseband00 (my naughty but nice buddy), Nice & Smiling Girl (a new blog buddy who works in local politics, I admire her resilience), and CS (because she always has interesting stories to tell and she tells them so well).
You guys are IT.

Great job, love number 5.
Thanks! I hope it wasn't too explicit.
Thank you for making me sound like a Christmas carol, Liz. =)
I also love #5. And it was too explicit. My imagination went bonkers as usual.
Sigh.

Obviously Mimi got VERY excited.
Anyway - being a curmudgeon - I'm not doing tags.
Sorry Lizza - please feel free to flog me with a wet kipper. Shinade got a bit upset when I said the same to her.
"Naughty Daddy" - bangs head on wall.
I have no idea what No. 5 is about.
Ooh! I have that Van Gogh (sp.?) for a wallpaper! How cool!
And what's number 5? In English, please. ;)
Cheers!
HB: You're most welcome. :-)
Mimi: And we love it when your imagination goes bonkers!
DaddyP: Your being a curmudgeon, I know. Thanks for letting me know you don't do tags anymore. No flogging for you, but consider your inguinal area most heartily pinched.
Migs: It is, isn't it? I like it better than Starry Night.
No. 5 is about...well, yeah. :-)
But that's a reward Lizza - thank you
Masochist!
Ahhhh, memories like #5 almost bring tears to my eye.
I might have to steal this for a future post. ;)
thanks Lovely.
From one who has been lucky enough to experience a #5, I appreciate the emotion!
Kiyotoe: Memories of it almost make me weep too.
I'd love to read about your memory.
Travis: #5's are just so, so...sigh.
