Full moon blogworld Saturday

There's a full moon out in the sky tonight.

I find it to be so provocative, so alluring, yet so frustrating somehow. It's a killing moon for me in certain ways...not that I want to kill anyone. Just something. Maybe.

It seems to vacillate between taunting me and soothing me as it peeks through my window. Cruel as it seems to be, its beauty set against the inky night sky is undeniably magnificent - in a peaceful yet provocative kind of way.

It almost makes me want to dance in the pale moonlight (except for the fact I rarely dance outside), my white dress flaring around me as I whirl round and round (except I rarely wear pure white), and my jet-black hair streaming in the wind (though there's no wind tonight).

So I'll leave the dancing to DaddyPapersurfer, who has a most educational and entertaining series of blog posts this week about various kinds of dances in Europe (and some other universal dances). And he has cool pictures of them too!

Chacha, tango, cancan, and of course, lovely moonbeam-bathed-slow-dancing wishes to all of you for the weekend.

Save me a dance, my Lady... ;)

I will, Bud. Something to the tune of something by the Fab Four...that would be awesome between blog buddies and Beatles fans. :-)

P.S.
It's odd. On the way in tonight, I stopped on the side of the road and then again in my driveway - taking pictures of this gorgeous moon.
Great minds. Kindred spirits.

On every full moon, rituals take place on hilltops, beaches, in open fields and in ordinary houses. Writers, teachers, nurses, computer programmers, artists, lawyers, poets, plumbers, and auto mechanics - women and men from many backgrounds come together to celebrate the mysteries of the full moon. What they practice is called Witchcraft. ;-)

Ah I love the moon, last night's one was particularly nice since it was pretty cloudy and that added to an aura of mystery :)

I do apologise for any educational element that might have crept in - I'll try better next time.

You can't fool me - that's a Christmas bauble ...... mmmmmmm, bauble ..... that's a nice word ..... bauble, bauble, bauble, bauble ..... hang on - no it isn't! - it's curtains in front of a window in front of the moon - forget everything I've said - ho hum.

[Thanks honey bunny - *hugs*]

Why are we all so silly? It's just a cold, lifeless ball of rock floating around in space.

I'm a moon-freak, and often stop to take photos. I love the moon in all its phases.
