Dream on, dreamer

I dream lots of dreams, many of them so realistic I wake up with my heart pounding, the sweat pouring off me, and feelings of elation/dread washing over me.

Sometimes my dreams have a way of coming true - in a way.

For example, one time long ago, I dreamed of an old friend - let's call him Bernard - lying in a coffin. He looked so peaceful there as I and the members of the old college gang looked down upon his face, including our friend Gail, who had been living in the USA for many years. I emailed Bernard about this dream of mine, and he said he was going to save that email in case something bad did happen to him.

A few weeks later, the gang DID get together for a funeral, but not Bernard's. Gail's father died and she came home for the funeral, hence the impromptu get-together of the gang.

Now all I need to do is to learn to improve the synchronicity between my dream world and waking world, and then start dreaming about lottery numbers.

I have very vivid dreams, too, and sometimes don't realize until quite a while after I've awoken that what I dreamed didn't actually happen. Which is sometimes a relief and sometimes a disappointment!

Oh, I know what you mean, Citizen. I've said "Man, it was just a dream!" both happily and disappointedly.

For some reason, this post came to mind the very old song that went....DREAMS ARE MY REALITY. And thanks to you I now am suffering from last song syndrome.

Now, you have to buy me beer to exorcise this song out of my head.

Hey, Lizza, hope you're week started well.

Now that was spooky.
It happens to me too sometimes.

Not that I think it will happen but PLEASE... never dream about me... ;-)

If the dreams I had ever came true, I might have to lock myself in a lunatic asylum. Seriously ;)

Thank you for replying on my blog for peace globe last week.

And... have you ever thought of keeping a dream journal? It can be really interesting to read back months/weeks later and see how your dreams echo life.

Spooky! I'm a great believer in dreams but sometimes, they can be a bit abstract.

Photo: One beer, coming up!

Bud: I will, but if you win the Philippine lottery, you'll have to share too.

Mimi: Spooky, yes. But fun too sometimes.

Sidney: Rest easy. I haven't dreamed about you...yet!

Terra: Now you make me curious about your dreams!

Michelle: Thanks for visiting again. Yes, a dream journal is a good idea indeed.

Puss: Yes, they make you wonder what your subconscious is telling you, and why can't it tell you in plain and simple terms.

Travis: I like spooky...sometimes. And so do you!

Nursemyra: Those are dreams you wouldn't want to wake from, I'm sure.
