A centenary of sorts

I know, I know, I didn't do Blogworld Saturday this week. I've been having some computer problems. I'll make up for it next time, I promise!

It's been almost three months since I started this blog, and this is my 100th post (raahhh!). I started out with just one reader, that lovely, oft-misunderstood, quirky, and feisty young Canadian woman who lives in the UAE (actually, she was the one who got me started on Blogger in the first place). So this one's for you, Tainted. This blog has grown since then. To readers old and new, please accept my heartfelt thanks.

Because of this blog, I've gotten to read great pieces of writing, seen wonderful artwork, and learned about some of the nooks and crannies of many people's daily lives and how their minds work. Many of you have made me laugh, a few have made me cry. I enjoy visiting your areas of cyberspace! I look forward to meeting many more bloggers and to getting to know them, albeit virtually.

Here's a video of a song that I think totally rocks. It's got absolutely nothing to do with this post...I just love this song. Haha! Besides, Michael Jackson still looked like a human being in this one.

Happy 100th--- and cheers to tainted for getting you started- hard to believe it's only been 3 months, such a following speaks volumes for your charm, wit, and sincerity--- glad I stopped by--- With so much controversy, we sometimes forget what an incredible musician MJ is--- seems to be staying under the radar in some eastern country-- again, cheers!

Congrats on #100!

I personally am a Janet fan. I was heartbroken when her breast flopped out for the world to see, but she can still make me swoon any day.

Well I'm definitely glad we've bumped into each other out here in this big, hard, cold cruel cyber world. Congrats.

And I am also a Janet fan, minus the heartbreak when the boobie popped out. Accidents happen.

Amen.

I will be singing "Rock with You" all day long now. But you know what? You are right...it is a great song and not such a bad one to have in your head all day.

Congrats on your 100th post. I blogged for almost an entire year before I even turned my comments on and I was so glad I did. Like you, I have met some wonderful fellow bloggers out there. You included, of course!

"Rock With You" is not a bad song for "Last Song Heard Syndrome." You are such a cool music lover...and a dance lover to boot! Thanks, Laurz. You're a wonderful blogger. This part of cyberspace is graced by your presence.

Gumby said...

I knew just from the blurry photo that it was "I wanna rock with ju".

Pretty sad that I knew that...

Congratulations Lizza. Good on you!

I love that outfit Michael's wearing too. I want it for my fancy dress closet.

By the way, why does your profile say you are 250 years old???

Lizza said...

Thanks, Rhys! But let me gulp down a couple of drinks before I start imagining you wearing the glittery stuff that MJ is wearing. :-D

I am 250 years old! (insert sound witchlike cackling) :-D

PLEASE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO READ THIS!!! PLEASE.

Thank you much, and keep posting ;-)

lastlifeinmyuniverse: Debs!!! Well, you've been gallivanting here and there, haven't you? :-) So great to see you here again.

inamini: Thank you. :-) I love your family history posts (and all the others). And you've made me think many times, too!

Ahmed: I've been visiting your blog and I like your posts. I agree, messages of hate in popular culture are horrible.

Congrats on (co-)winning Gale's Flash Fiction competition a few weeks ago!

Thanks for that. My next post won't be so disturbing, but I will continue to do my best to entertain y'all. Who knows what I'll talk about next...;-)

OK. I can do math, though I tell better stories. That means you posted TWICE in the same day TEN times in three months. That's a sign of hyperactive blogging. Ther eis a cure for that. Read more. Post less.

Most doctor's allow for one post a day. After that, they begin to have cerebral concerns and will prescribe a night of watching You Tube.

Pace yourself, girl.

And congratulations!

Happy 100!!!! I can't wait to read each and everyone of the next 100!!!

It's easy to forget sometimes how talented Mr. Jackson was. This was/is a great song!!

Congrats to you!!

Lizza said...

Ahmed: You're welcome. I like your posts. :-)

Scott: I do read a lot, I do, I do! :-D Thanks for doing the math, I suck at that. And a night of watching YouTube doesn't sound too bad, haha! Thanks for the congrats and thanks for dropping by. Your blog postings are funny!

Michael: Thank you! Yep, MJ looks and acts weird now, but he was amazing as a performer.

Wow, MJ used to be black? ;)

Haha! Surprising, isn't it?
