Panaginip lang*

Dreams are surreal, mine own and most everyone else's, probably. But computer-generated visual interpretations of dreams at Dreamlines can be even more surreal. I learned about that site from Citizen of the World. (Thanks, CS!)

How does it work? You type in one or more words that best describe your dream, and the site comes up with some images. The graphics it came up with for me were even more surreal than my dream, but the colors and textures in the Dreamlines pictures sure are pretty.

But then, that dream of mine was so very pretty too. Oh, yes, oh yes it was. I had a mini-heartbreak when I woke up and realized all that beauty didn't really happen, that it had only been in my mind.

*only a dream

And no, I did NOT dream of Gene Simmons or any of his ilk. Jeez. (Though there was a tongue in that dream somewhere.)

Was that a crab in the first photo? What could your dream be if the interpretation is a crab????

Gene Simmons, now that is a certified nightmare.

This week has been "Dream Week" in the blogosphere. The Sat-9 meme this week was about sleep. And SO many people said, "I wrote a post on sleep/dreams already this week". That split second between dream reality and reality is pretty spooky...

Hmmm.... the first image look like hair from a rat...
Is that the devil in the second picture?
It looks like the guy in the third tries not to step in blood...and the last one looks like a tarsier...

Are you sure it was not a nightmare?

Photo: Now that you mention it, it does look like a crab. But not the kind DaddyP had in mind.

Bud: Spooky and sad or happy. Depends on the dream. :-)

Sidney: I thought the last one looked like a guitar! Now that you mentioned those things, it does sound like a nightmare. But it really wasn't.

DaddyP: *scratch, scratch*

Terra: Yes, thanks. But the dream was so much prettier. :-)

That's pretty cool. I may have to bookmark that site on the off chance that I'll remember a dream.

It's a cool program indeed, Trav. Hope you get to use it too sometime.

I typed in "fear" and "lion" as I have recurring dreams that a lions are nearby and I have nowhere to hide.

so the pictures I got were all recognizably of lions, but they looked sort of scribbled on....

Bummer. I hoped they would've come up with more esoteric images for you, Nursey.
