Going bananas

You Are a Banana

You are mellow, easy going, and a total softie on the inside.

People find it really easy to get along with you. You suit most tastes.

And while you're very sweet, you're not boring or ordinary.

You have an attraction to the exotic, and you could show up anywhere... doing almost anything!

You are spirited, energetic, and a total kick to be around.

You're also quite funny. Your sense of humor is on the goofy side, and it fits you well.

OK, this made me laugh because it's so far off the mark on many counts. I do adore bananas, though. Oh, yeah. Yummy, yummy stuff.

Each one of us goes bananas at one time or another - and I don't mean we go crazy for the fruit. We just go crazy. But what seems crazy to me might seem commonplace to you, or it might elicit another reaction altogether. For instance, a friend of mine and his brothers and sister used to go bananas playing booger tag when they were kids. Now I can understand how such an activity can be both sweet and disgusting at the same time. Only people who are so comfortable with each other, who enjoy an easy intimacy, can engage in such a barbaric act and laugh their asses off and love each other all the more in spite of - or perhaps because of - it.

That said, I never indulged in that particular game during my childhood. Well, one of my brothers once flicked a booger at me, which landed on my thigh. I went ballistic. He had the grace to remove it, after he had his fill of rolling on the floor, laughing until he was hiccupping, at the sight of me jumping around trying to dislodge it without actually touching it, and not succeeding.

My friend and his siblings stopped playing booger tag after puberty. But I think they still play fart games whenever they get together. Oh the joys of childhood, how they can endure. May the gross kid in each of us never fade. Banana in hand or not.

Why did I read this before dinner?
That's not a tag I want to participate in.....

But I did love your fruity post!

You are a nut job. Just sayin'...

Ew. I never played that kind of tag either.

Not sure you will find a lot of people wanting to play "booger tag".
Just the thought of it makes me sick.
I guess this puts me in the coconut category.

I played this game and I found out I am a banana too. I want my money back; just like you it's so way off the mark. Okay not so off the mark, but still...I AM NOT A BANANA!

I ended up being a lemon.

Unfortunately it was dead on.

I got banana this time, but last time I took this test it was some other kind of fruit. What I really want to be is a strawberry.

OK, I just realised that a booger is foreign for bogey ..... tsk.
I've never heard of this game and feel as though I've missed out. Can one be too old to start? Your advice would be most welcome.

I guess I'd rather be a banana than a sour grape. But I thank god I never had brothers. Boys are smelly.

OMG LOLOLOL

I haven't even thought about booger tag is a zillion years!!

Just one more example of how small the world is and how alike we are as people.

The only thing more disgusting and funny than booger tag was road apple tag ;-)

You Are a Lemon

You have a very distinct personality. And if you're not being sweet, you're a little hard to take.
You're a bit overpowering, especially in one on one situations.

And while you are very dominant, sometimes your power is needed and appreciated.
You can liven up a dull situation, and you definitely bring a fresh outlook.

You are a bit of an acquired taste, and you tend to grow on people over time.
People feel refreshed and rejuvenated after spending time with you.

Eh, somewhat accurate. Cheers Lizza!!

So I'm a banana too.

Hahaha. Sisterrrrrrrrrr.

my cousin once farted 36 times in a row - some 20 years ago. We still talk about it with serious reverence.

OMG, H's comment made me laugh in a roll-on-the-floor sort of way. You both are sisters from different mothers.

If you're a banana, then I must be durian. Acquired taste, but, when acquired, still can't be taken everyday.

I'm still sniggering. You had me at "flicked a booger".

Booger tag!
I'm praying that my teenaged bro doesn't stumble upon this post. Otherwise it'll add to his long list of you-know-what activities.
:-P

I am a lemon. I think I'm okay with that.

Mimi: I was an inadvertent participant. :-)

Bud: I'll take that as a compliment! :-)

Trav: Ew indeed!

Sidney: A few crazy people I know had fun doing it when they were kids. My own haven't done it so far, thank heavens!

Photo: We can get our money back? I'm getting in line for that. :-)

Christy: The lemon description sounds sweet.

Citizen: Oh, so maybe I'll end up with a different fruit next time. There's hope yet!

DaddyP: My only advice would be not to play this particular game with the TG.

Puss: That they are!

Bond: Men seem to be such experts when it comes to that. :-)

Matt-man: I had no problem acquiring a taste for your blog!

H: How can I not agree? That is an awesome record. We have some strange friends and relatives, soul sis of mine.

Migs: Now that is one fruit for which I still have to develop a liking. No such problem with you, though. Me likey you!

Julia: Let's hope he doesn't think of googling the phrase.

Turnbaby: Hee hee hee. Damn Reader, so indiscreet. ;-) I'm not BUI now.

Methinks you'd have an unfair advantage over the grandson. But maybe that would be a rocking memory for him.

I played booger tag with my grandad!

You'd alienate Penfold, though, unless he played along. But the thought of three generations playing booger tag makes me shudder.

Banana is actually a derogatory term for Asians in the West. Banana being yellow on the outside and white inside. Simply put, being called a banana means an Asian acting like a white person. But then what's wrong with that? We all need to assimilate into the place where we are living.

I am a strawberry by the way! A great test to do on a rainy weekend!

You're very pretty Lizza!
