Blogworld Saturday

It's Saturday afternoon here now. The sky is grey over my part of the city, but I don't find that depressing at all. I hope it rains. I love the rain.

Here are some of the posts I've had the pleasure of reading the past few days. I haven't caught up on everyone's blogs yet. I will though, I promise.

The Dragon. This insightful writer said "I remember when something would happen almost everyday that would inspire me to sit down and blog, whereas now, I sit down and look for inspiration instead of letting it find me." Does anybody else relate to that? I do. But I still enjoy the way he writes, how he articulates his thoughts in a way that's easy to understand yet powerful.

Bond. Tragedy happens on a daily basis from which, strangely, redemption and blessings can also result. Bond's post about how Jason Kendall Ray and his family helped save and improve a number of other people's lives is very moving. It's a long post, but well worth the read.

Dona Nobis Pacem. Mimi's Blog Blast for Peace movement turns a year old on November 7, and it's great to see more and more people using their mad Paint and Photoshop skills to advocate for peace. A simple thing to do, really, but the good will it generates is priceless.

Scott. What's your all-time favorite song? Hard question to answer, isn't it? But if you do have one, head on over to AELEOPE where several bloggers have shared theirs. You might get free pretzels if you do.

Glamourpuss. I love me a good fairy tale, and the one Glamourpuss wrote a few days ago was no exception. I liked that it had chocolate marzipan, a bar, a princess, and a grubby frog in it (even though I normally abhor frogs, with an unbridled passion).

Technogad. Shiny, high-tech electronic gadgets impress me, and this is one is something that I really, really want to own someday. I'd give my left booby for it. Having this would make me a very happy (and drunk) girl.

Have a yummy weekend everyone. Stay safe. And sexy.

'And sexy' - at my age? I still look at goddesses but I've forgotten why.

You stay safe and sexy - really stout knickers should do it.

But do goddesses look at you?

Stout knickers, hmmm... I think I have a pair here somewhere. You mean I have to wear them all weekend?

That beer dispenser sounds interesting, wouldn't you have to clean it out though, doesn't beer leave a residue. Bah, sorry if that distorted the dream.

Excellent usage of the word abhor in a post.

I hope it rains for you today. We are experiencing a terrible drought in the south. We desperately need the rain. Glad to see BlogWorld Saturday back again. It's one of my favorite reads.

Thanks for mentioning Dona Nobis Pacem in the Blogosphere. Can you believe it's been a year?

Christy: The way I drink beer, there'd be no residue left to clean. :-D

Mims: Time sure flies, doesn't it? Seems just like yesterday. Glad to see lots of Peace Globes from new people...but I do miss friends of ours like Yax and Prometheus.

I can't believe a we don't have the draft beer fridge. We have a big beer fridge and a little one in the basement. Guess the DH hasn't seen this yet;-)

Glad to see you sugar.

Turnbaby: You have TWO fridges for beer??? Good lord, woman, how much beer do you and the DH drink? I think I worship you.

I'm just glad I've been able to keep you entertained enough to stick around. You're like one of the popular girls in high school and I'm just trying to get you to say hi to me in the hallway. ;-)

And you're like the teacher who always makes me think.

I do visit your blog! I've been pretty quiet, though.

You are lovely to me - thanks for the shout out, Lizza.

I have been away so unforgivably long that I don't know how to catch up well enough with all the reading.
