What were you doing 10 years ago?

In July 1997, we were living near Clark Air Base in Angeles City, which is located about 60 kilometers from Manila. My son was just starting school then. I kept house. It was a good experience.

What were you doing 1 year ago?

In July 2006, I started this blog! The year sure flew. Party time! Cake is over there, drinks are on the table beside the buffet, balloons and party hats are by the door. You can leave your gifts there too. No strippers, sorry. But I won't stop you from doing a pole dance if you're so inclined. And then I'll gatecrash my American buddies' 4th of July celebrations.

Five snacks you enjoy:

1. Chocolate (dark)
2. Roasted peanuts (with garlic)
3. Beer Match Cracklings

4. Grapes
5. French fries (sweet & sour cream flavor)

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:

1. Happy Birthday
2. The Philippine National Anthem
3. Beer, by Itchyworms
4. Love Song, by The Cure
5. Spanish Eyes, by Madonna

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:

1. Build a kickass public library.
2. Scoop up this sexy, powerful baby (the big one) and hug it and kiss it and call it George.
3. Travel.
4. Get my mom whatever she wants.
5. Buy property.

Five bad habits:

1. Smoke too much
2. Drink too much
3. Procrastinate too much
4. Bite fingernails too much
5. Daydream too much

Five things you like doing:

1. reading
2. writing
3. talking/listening to friends
4. visiting new places
5. see bad habits above

Five things you would never wear again:

1. a tutu
2. anything reminiscent of the punk era
3. my prom dress
4. school uniform
5. an air of innocence

Five favorite toys:

1. computer
2. digital camera
3. playstation2
4. raindrops
5. hmmmm...

You've worn a tutu? I too would never wear a tutu again but then I never did...honestly.......I was tempted of course.
I think it would be worth you wearing one again, taking a picture with your digital camera and posting the result on your blog using the Macbook Pro that surely will be yours one day.
Your mojo is showing by the way!

Travis: Thanks! It's really good; the next time I have some I'll take a pic and show you. :-) Happy 4th of July!

HB: Lika, libre kita ng isaw.

DaddyP: I was all of 7 or 8 the last time I wore a tutu. I then discovered I had 2 left feet. So I switched to wearing a grass skirt. It was much easier to just shake my buns. I think you'd look lovely in a frothy pink tutu though.

Happy blog birthday dear Lizza!

Many happy blog posts to you, for years and years to come, and a few fat book deals too...

fancy that! you bite your nails too??!! soul sis eh?!

hahahaha.

At this stage in our relationship I don't think any money should change hands! Nursie - I object to your implications...
Happy blogiversary LL.

Sanni: Haha! I wish I could. I'll think of you the next time I have some.

H: Soul sisters indeed! Thanks, foxy one.

Penfold: Thank you! Well, okay. I'll settle for you in a school uniform too.

no sinister implications, penfold. I thought the lure of Lizza disrobing in a school uniform would be enough to make you buy a plane ticket to the phillipines :-)

No, no, no, Nursemyra. We're going to Portugal. I'll bring a school uniform, which I'll take off before going swimming in Penfold's lagoon while you and he play house. Or doctor. Or whatever it is the two of you want to play. :-)

Thanks for having cake today. I was just thinking about how good a piece of cake would be. Or, a vodka tonic. Either way.

Lizza said...

Matt: All I have to do is sprout some chest hair and we could be twins!

Photo: Oh, yes! Yummy stuff. Full of trans-fats, but delicious!

mist1: You're welcome. Next time we'll play Scrabble while eating cake and drinking a vodka tonic.

Well, the things I learn here... I've never heard of Beer Match Crackling, sweet & sour cream fries or the song "Beer" by Itchyworms (that sounds like a good one!) I like the things you'd do if you were a millionaire, and your 5 favorite toys ;)
Good answers!

Lizza said...

Haha, thanks Tammie Jean! Beer is a fun song, but it's in Tagalog. The singer is in a dilemma, he can't decide which he wants more: his beer or love. :-D

Peanuts with garlic. Hmm. I don't know. Enjoyed your list - and, since I'm just catching up after having been away, I'll say here also the bloogworld Saturday list.
