Blogworld Saturday

Skyping Baby Names

Hahahahaaaaa!

Another week has passed, and as usual, high and low moments were shared by you guys out there. Here's just a handful.

Michael C. The Wonderful World of Nothing Worthwhile just celebrated its first anniversary. He obviously puts a lot of thought and effort into writing his posts, which usually make me chuckle and think "what if?" simultaneously. Happy blog anniversary, Michael! I promise not to sing Sinatra's My Way the next time I go to a videoke bar.

Surftwin. Another writer who just celebrated her first blog anniversary. Congratulations, NMM! I got to know only quite recently about her blog (and Paula's blog too -- the Queen of the Surf Pirates herself!) through a mutual buddy who, if all goes well, will be sending me (and maybe several others) nekkid pics. My own 1st blog anniversary is coming up in a few days, come to think of it.

Wendz. What would you do with your money if you had a bajillion dollars, and then some? What this gutsy, endearing lady in France has in mind is nothing too grandiose and high-profile (which is right, I think. I just hate it when people trumpet the amount of money they donate to charity). The people who would benefit from Wendz's idea wouldn't find it to be earth-shattering. Instead, it would bring a much desired measure of stability in times of stress.

The Laughorist. I never realized how provocative, how tantalizing, how sexy the word "or" can be, until I read Pawlie's post about it. It's orgasmic, really. I love words, and the way Pawlie explores the paths that words can lead us to leaves me quivering in delight sometimes.

Odat. The always effervescent Odat's week started out well...until a mishap at the office found her on the floor yelling "Fuck!" repeatedly. Even when she writes about shouting "fuck" in agony (I think this is the first time I've seen her use the word on her blog), she's still cheerful. That's our Odat! Cyberspace is all the much sunnier because of her.

Oh, look at the pretty plants! They make me want to take up gardening. Have a cooool, laid-back weekend, everybody!

Uhhhh... pretty peppermint =D
Too bad I don´t have a green thumb.

Peaceful Odat yelling the F-word? That´s a must read!

Once again: Have a great weekend, Liz!

Keep it up! Blogworld Saturday is one of my FAVORITE posts! Even if it is still Friday here. I'm taking Mimi to here music tonight. I hope she likes it...

Yay for Nmm (Surftwin) and the Pirate Queen (Paula) - top surfing ladies. Go visit today!
Starting to get nervous about winning now. Remember - the nekkid pics were your idea - so I think you should reciprocate!!

Bud: Thank you, glad to know you like it! I sure hope you and Mimi have a good time tonight. Taking a music teacher to hear music can be nerve-wracking. But you'll be with her, and that's so romantic.

Penfold: They sure rock! They've visited here, and I'm glad to add their blogs to my reading list.

A nekkid pic? Sure! I'll post it when you win.

The plant on the left is making me uncomfortable with the way it seems to be staring at me.

Well,ya make it seem like I only yell fuck when I'm in agony...I'll have to post one where I say fuck in a good way. ;-)
Peace
and thanks....I have to go reading now!

Thanks for the wishes!!! I had forgotten how dangerous singing Sinatra was where you are. For me, it's just dangerous because I'm bad at it! That comic is hysterical! True, but hysterical!!

I want some cool plants like that!

Can we try and keep nudity down to the bare minimum please! It looks as though there are enough small prickles on those plants.

I just love those cartoons - they are so apt! Always make me giggle.

Thanks for the shout - I thought you weren't reading me anymore actually and have been wondering where on earth is Lizza...:) (I never check my stats - shame on me).

I hope you are okay Lizza.

I was tagged by (Skittles) Alice to do this multi part meme!
Now I've tagged you

mist1: Maybe it recognizes you.

Odat: Haha! Well, just let that ankle heal.

Michael: It's even more dangerous for me because I suck at it.

Mr. Fab: Go grow some. I won't tell.

DaddyP: Oh, all right. I won't show you Penfold's pics. You've seen all there is to see of him anyway. Small prickles? *giggle*

Wendz: I do read you, and I enjoy every post. I still read blogs (in my Google reader mostly), but not leaving comments too much these days.

Silverneurotic: Yes, but naming kids after technology is a funny thought. Maybe Skype's friends will include iPhone, Blogspot, and XML.

Lyn: Oooo, looks like fun. I'll get to it within the next few days.

Lizza - Great post and I'll check out the one or two I don't already read. I agree with Bud, this is one of my favorite features in the blogosphere.

We had a great time last night at the restaurant. It was a picture perfect night and I met a couple of Bud's friends here, too.

Happy weekend!

I swear I'll only read this post for medicinal purposes.

Mimi: Thanks, and I'm glad you and Bud had a great time.

T.A.: Yep, me too. :-) Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks, as always, for the good reads.

And Skype is a pretty awesome name.

You know what - I am not commenting much either these days - and largely because I read posts through Bloglines and then move on to the next one. So I understand.

I guess the day you name your baby based on a reader poll is the day you know your blogging is way out of control! Funny.

Are those plants, um, in your house?

Lizza said...

Greg: Thank you! And thanks for dropping in.

Wendz: Thanks, my dear. Your posts are always a pleasure to read. But I'm not looking at your son's poo! ;-)

CS: Noooo, haha! The day I decide to grow them, I'll tell you.
